Overview Formerly the Mirador wing of the excellent Bahia del Duque Resort, the hotel first opened in 2001, and following closure for improvements during winter 2007/2008, re-opened recently to much acclaim under a new management team. Spacious 22000 square metre gardens, a huge swimming pool, direct access to the beach and commercial centre, and a superb exclusive VIP area are outstanding features of this luxurious property.
Location Quite stunning, with panoramic views of the ocean and the island of La Gomera. El Duque beach is adjacent to the garden area of the hotel, and within easy reach there is a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. The bright lights of Playa de las Americas are Just 4 kms away.
Relaxation A huge swimming pool is the focal point of the delightful terraced garden area which leads down to the shopping centre and beach. Sun loungers and parasols surround the pool with a complimentary towel service available. Cool drinks can be enjoyed all day on the terrace of La Tosca bar-hall, and Las Pardelas snack bar at the hotel solarium is open during the afternoon. The enchanting beachside Acanto café-bar is open late into the night with live music and a selection of light meals, drinks and cocktails.
Sports/Games There is a gym and squash court on site, and five of the best golf courses on the island within easy reach. Water sports including windsurfing, sailing, jet-ski, and scuba diving are available on nearby beaches; horse riding school ca also be arranged.
Dining A variety of gastronomic options can be enjoyed at the hotel’s restaurants, starting with the main buffet El Mirador which offers delicious breakfasts and dinners; La Pergola Beach Club Restaurant serving traditional Mediterranean dishes; and La Nonna, an Italian-Mediterranean restaurant with terraces overlooking the sea.
