Location Set in an elevated position in an extensive private estate of some 160 hectares in the southern Sannat district of Gozo, Ta’ Cenc’s grounds extend to a rocky private beach called Kantra, renowned for its clear blue waters, and reached by private complimentary mini-bus shuttle service. Public transport operates to the capital, Victoria.
Relaxation There are two outdoor swimming pools, one exclusively for adults, and a Jacuzzi, set in the delightful garden area which is dotted with sunloungers and parasols. A towel service is available. At Kantra beach, there is a bar and grill, and Peppi’s Bar is open all day for drinks and snacks. A comfortable lounge and internet café are additional features, as are a reading room and souvenir shop.
Sports/Games Whilst Ta’ Cenc is a great place for a complete rest, the more active holidaymaker is not forgotten, as facilities for tennis and table tennis players are available, along with walking and jogging trails and bicycle hire. Board, card and video games are included among the indoor attractions.
Dining The main restaurant, Il Carrubo (named after the ancient carob tree in the courtyard), opens early for a varied selection of hot and cold breakfast dishes, and serves an a la carte or daily set menu in the evening, featuring local, Italian and Mediterranean specialities. From the terraces of Peppi’s Bar you can enjoy superb views whilst indulging in the fine choice of fish, meat and pasta delicacies during the day.
