Location Set in a valley just outside the charming village of San Lawrenz to the west of the island, the Kempinski is about a twenty minute drive from Gozo harbour, and a two hour journey from Malta airport including the short ferry crossing. Though not essential, a hire car is recommended. The hotel offers a courtesy bus twice a day to the beach, and to the capital, Victoria.
Relaxation A delightful terraced garden area surrounds the two large outdoor swimming pools (adults only), and the family pool. Parasols, sun-beds and towels are provided. Two pool bars offer cool drinks, cocktails and snacks; inside the Il Baldakkin café/bar/lounge is open all day for relaxation.
Sports/Games Two tennis courts, two squash courts, cycling, dive centre and water sports nearby, all payable locally.
Dining A delicious breakfast buffet begins the day in the stylish L’Ortolan restaurant, which also serves Mediterranean and Maltese specialities in the evening (dress code applies). Fresh produce from the hotel’s own garden is a feature of the cuisine. The Trattoria offers authentic Italian dishes for dinner, including fresh fish, pasta and pizza, with al fresco dining in summer. Light lunches by the pool are available in season at the Gazebo.

Special Features The Kempinski Spa incorporates the Marine Care Centre and the medically supervised Ayurveda Centre, which offers a full range of massages and therapies with origins in the Kerala region of southern India.
