The Illa d’Or celebrated its 75th anniversary during 2004, having welcomed its first guests in 1929, since when regular modernisation in harmony with good old fashioned standards have ensured the hotel’s high reputation is maintained.

Location Peacefully located on the water’s edge, on the Pine Walk, about 1.5 kms from the resort centre and main public beach, the hotel stands in the midst of mature pine and tamarind trees, with a picturesque mountain backdrop.

Relaxation The hotel’s outdoor pool is set in a pleasant terrace overlooking the sea, equipped with parasols and sun-beds. There are two tastefully furnished lounges inside, one with bar and TV, with waiter service in the timbered bar and sea front terrace.

Sports Tennis court with equipment hire. There is a wide selection of water sports on the beach, and Pollenca Golf is about 10 kms away.

Dining The traditional dining room is non-smoking, and you can start your day here with a delicious hot and cold buffet breakfast. At night, waiter service for dinner. The outdoor à la carte restaurant “La Terrassa”, on the water’s edge, is open at night during the summer months for tempting Mediterranean cuisine, and for al fresco lunches from May to October, try the ample choice of fish and meat dishes offered in the snack restaurant.

Entertainments Live music for dancing three times a week, and regular folklore shows.

Special Features Just staying here is a special feature which will ensure a memorable holiday, and a desire to return. More tangible attractions are to be found in the Vital Health and Beauty Centre with various facial and body treatments, hairdresser, small gymnasium, indoor pool, jacuzzi and saunas.
