Overview One of the Mediterranean’s most sought-after and delightful hotels, La Residencia is peacefully hidden away amongst thirty acres of ancient olive and citrus groves on the north-west of the island. Created from two 16th and 17th century manor houses, that were very sympathetically restored, the hotel is now a peaceful haven in an environment exuding a sense of well-being.

Location Set in lush gardens amongst the stunning scenery in the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range, just 200 metres from the delightful village of Deya. Palma is about a 35-minute drive.

Relaxation Two heated, freshwater swimming pools, one 32 metres long, surrounded by spacious lawns and terraces, with sun beds, parasols, and a courtesy towel service. There is a pool bar, and four lounges and two bars in the air conditioned interior plus a TV/video salon.

Sports Two tennis courts, one of which can be floodlit. Coaching can be arranged. Golf concessions at several of the island’s courses. Other activities such as horse-riding, mountain walking and ballooning can be arranged with reception.

Dining The celebrated El Olivo restaurant, a restored 16th century olive press, has a fine reputation and is a gourmet’s delight. There is also the less formal but excellent Son Fony Restaurant (Note: guests wishing to dine on their first night should make prior reservation by telephone.) Theme evenings are a feature once weekly. The poolside restaurant offers light meals in summer.

Accommodation 59 air conditioned rooms, junior suites and suites. The rooms vary in size, some with four posters, and all exquisitely furnished in manor house style with many antique pieces. Each has luxury bathroom, hair dryer, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning/ heating, television, video/DVD, and safe.

THE BEST.... Of 6 luxury and superior suites, 3 have private swimming pools and one a plunge pool. In summer 2007, 8 new luxurious Tramontana suites were added, set across from and above the Spa building, with fabulous panoramic views over the valley and towards the Mediterranean.
