Overview The legendary Formentor is a renowned, luxurious hide-away whose guests have included many famous names over the years. Discreetly attentive staff, its secluded situation and an air of calm and tranquillity, provide the atmosphere in which to totally unwind.
Location On a gently sloping hillside, set in pine-wooded grounds on the northern tip of the island, facing the picturesque bay with its long, sandy beach. Puerto Pollensa is within easy reach by boat or taxi.
Relaxation Two swimming pools set in terraced gardens with sun loungers and parasols, the sandy beach below having sun-beds and shades in summer. The beach bar is usually open from June to September for cooling drinks, and there is a poolside bar service. Inside, the main bar and piano bar are complemented by air conditioned lounges and a card room.
Sports 5 tennis courts (2 floodlit), mini-golf and water sports are available from the beach (in summer). Golfers have reduced green fees at various courses. Putting green.
Dining The main restaurant El Colomer is where the day begins with an excellent breakfast, and where the table d’hote evening meal is served with a choice of menu. The separate El Pi à la carte restaurant with terrace for al fresco dining in summer offers a choice of international, Mediterranean and local specialities, whilst the beach restaurant Platja Mar is the ideal venue in summer for lunch buffet-style.

THE BEST.... Junior Suites have bedroom and living room separated by a sliding door plus dressing room. A few have a terrace.
