Overview One of the most sought-after hotels in Majorca the Bon Sol’s atmosphere reflects the personal touch provided by the owners Lorraine and Martin Xamena, who are rightly proud of the number of repeat guests they welcome back each year.
Location The main building, whose lounges and cosy corners are filled with antiques, is set atop a hillside in sleepy Illetas, and cleverly linked, by lifts and passages, to the lower buildings, the pools and the little beach.
Relaxation There’s one pool and terraces alongside the main building, another just above the beach and on another level a third, with a jacuzzi, in the beautiful, mature sub-tropical gardens. Above the beach, tiered terraces are equipped with sun loungers. There is a bar overlooking the beach for drinks, a large main bar alongside the reception area, and a peaceful lounge and card room.
Sports Tennis courts, squash court, table tennis and mini-golf. Golfers have reduced green fees at most of Majorca’s courses.
Dining A full buffet breakfast is attractively presented in the Conservatory, and on the terrace overlooking the beach. A delicious buffet lunch can also be enjoyed here in summer, and reservations for dinner can be made with reception. The main dining room with traditional service is open for lunch and evening meal.
Entertainments Live music for dancing usually three times per week.
Special Features A recent addition is the Spa Centre offering thalassotherapy, saunas, Turkish bath, cold plunge pool, outdoor jacuzzi and beauty parlour. Virtually private beach created by the owners.
For Children Pool and playground. The little beach is also ideal for youngsters (accompanied).
