Overview This well-known property was originally constructed some 30 years ago in a setting which reflects its name – 24000 square metres of palm-filled gardens adjoining the famous dunes. An extensive refurbishment was carried out in 2002 to create a modern hotel of exceptional high standard with a seventies “retro” style in the bedrooms and public areas. A wide range of leisure facilities and guest services available round the clock entitle the Palm Beach to be considered a genuine quality resort, and, following its refurbishment, fully deserves its up-grade to 5 stars.
Location The hotel stands in a magnificent position, with those palm gardens on one side, and the sea, beach and dunes on the other. A short stroll along the seafront promenade leads to the Meloneras shopping centre.
Relaxation A large, fresh-water heated swimming pool with its centre-piece palm island is surrounded by gardens and terraces with complimentary sun-loungers, parasols and pool towel service. A feature of the huge grounds is the secluded and recently enlarged health garden, a quiet relaxation area for adults. The hotel’s lounges and bars have been re-decorated, and the outdoor Bar Africano serves tropical drinks and refreshments around the pool.
Sports/Games A wide choice including tennis (floodlit courts and professional tuition at a charge), table tennis, giant garden chess, shuffleboard, darts, archery, volleyball, badminton, boules. Watersports nearby, and discounts at all local golf courses.
Dining For early birds, the Bistro serves a continental breakfast between 06h00 and 08h00. The renowned buffet breakfast with show cooking is available on the terrace from 08h00 to 11h00, or in winter a continental breakfast can be served in your room at a supplement. At lunchtime, a varied buffet and grill station are available on the terrace, with an à la carte service of hot and cold meals from May to September. Evening meals in the Restaurant consist of 4 courses with a choice of menu, and a buffet with spectacular barbecue is offered three times a week on the terrace. For a change try the “Orangerie” à la carte restaurant in the evening from October to April ; during the same months a gala dinner for half board guests takes place every two weeks, for which jacket and tie is required. Entertainments A varied programme of daytime and evening entertainments is arranged by a specialist team, and includes occasional live shows. In the Bar-Salon, there is live music for dancing six nights a week.
Special Features The health garden is a small relaxation area in lush sub-tropical vegetation, where children under 16 are not admitted, and includes a heated salt water pool, sunbeds on natural sand, sauna and massage, beauty treatments, open-air gym, and a variety of health (thalassotherapy) and fitness programmes under medical supervision.

Accommodation The seven storey building contains a total of 328 carpeted rooms, junior suites, and suites with bath or shower (junior suites and suites have bath and shower), air conditioning, hairdryer, bathrobes, satellite TV, safe and mini-bar (with charge), telephone and balcony. All room types take 1 extra bed for a child 2-11 years. Some interconnecting rooms (type B only), and limited number of rooms with walk-in shower for disabled clients. - Standard rooms (Type A) are street facing on floors 2 and 3
- Type B are sea facing on floors 4-7 or pool/garden facing on floors 2-7
- Type C are similar to B but on floors 5-7 and best for afternoon sun
- Corner rooms are larger, with pool or garden view on floors 2-7
- Junior suites and suites are larger still on floors 5-7, sea facing or with pool or garden view. Suites have two balconies.
