Overview The Sheraton is only the third five star hotel on this sun-kissed island, and is set in extensive beautifully landscaped gardens which lead to the promenade and beach. It opened in May 2006, and has already attracted high praise from its first guests who have enjoyed the excellent standards of food, service, and variety of facilities here.
Location Conveniently situated for the airport and the capital Puerto del Rosario, the Sheraton lies just a few minutes walk from Caleta del Fuste, a bustling resort offering a variety of shops, cafés and restaurants. The beach is adjacent to the hotel on one side, with an 18 hole golf course on the other. Nearby there is a commercial centre which includes a supermarket and multiplex cinema.
Relaxation No shortage of chill-out possibilities, with 3 adult swimming pools (one heated) surrounded by a huge garden terrace with abundant sun loungers and parasols. A pool bar serves drinks and snacks during the day as does the Lobby Piano Bar adjacent to the spacious reception area; in the evening, try the Someplace Else pub for pre and post dinner drinks and bar meals. And to complete the selection, you can treat yourself to a freshly prepared juice in the ZuBa Juice Bar at the Spa.
Sports/Games The hotel offers a floodlit tennis court, beach volleyball court, mini golf and a multi sports area in the grounds. Nearby on the beach, water sports can be practised, and the magnificent Fuerteventura golf course is just minutes away.
Dining The Los Arcos buffet is the hotel’s principal restaurant, serving breakfast and dinner with show cooking. A la carte dining is available in the Wok-N-Zen Pan-Asian Restaurant, La Veranda for Italian cuisine, and in the El Faro de Antigua Restaurant.
Entertainments Live piano music in the lobby bar and occasional live shows.
Special Features The spacious 1000 square metre Thalasso Centre & Spa features an indoor pool with therapeutic jets, hydrothermal circuit with sauna, Turkish bath, Roman Thermal bath, sensation showers, foot bath, vitality swimming pool, relaxing room, gym, and several cabins for beauty and massage treatments.
For Children Kids from 9 months to 12 years are made very welcome at the purpose-built splendidly equipped kids’ club, which offers activities and supervision appropriate to ages. A charge is made for use of the club. There is an outdoor kids’ pool in the garden area.
