Overview The respected Spanish Hesperia chain manages this comfortable hotel, located on the outskirts of the city and overlooking the 18th green of the Seve Ballesteros designed Alicante Golf Course. Whilst an ideal choice for golfers, don’t worry if you’re not! There’s plenty to do, either in the hotel itself, in Alicante, or locally in Playa San Juan.
Location The popular resort and extensive beach of Playa San Juan are only 800 metres from the hotel, with Alicante city centre a ten-minute drive away, and some 35 kms to the north east, Benidorm with all its tourist attractions. The hotel is a good choice as a base for touring the Costa Blanca.
Relaxation The outdoor swimming pool is set in the garden, with sun beds and parasols, and a seasonal snack bar. The Club House has its own bar, and the Mirador Bar has a terrace with splendid views of the golf course. There is lots of cool open space inside the hotel.
Sports/Games The golf course is the first in Spain to have an equal number of par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s on each leg, and there are reduced green fees for guests. Paddle tennis is available; tennis club nearby, and water sports on the beach.
Dining In addition to the attractive Augusta restaurant in the main building, which serves a varied menu and international à la carte dishes, the Club House includes Alicante Golf Restaurant and snack bar with golfers’ menu.
