Overview This is the latest addition to the highly regarded Beatriz Group of Hotels with properties in Toledo, near Madrid, and Lanzarote in the Canary Isles. This one opened in April 2004, and is ideal for families and couples in search of relaxation, with all rooms facing the sea, and offering as it does a host of facilities including a fitness and Spa centre.
Location The Beatriz Palace is set in pleasant gardens next to the beach and beside the famous 12th century Sohail Castle. The nearest shopping centre is about 2 kms away, with a further kilometre to the centre of the popular resort of Fuengirola with its wide variety of restaurants cafeterias and entertainment.
Relaxation The large swimming pool is set amid gardens and terraces with sun-loungers, parasols, and towel service. A pool bar serves refreshments during the day in summer, and inside there is a traditional tapas bar and a Lobby bar with nightly music.
Sports/Games Tennis, billiards, archery and darts are available on site, with water sports and horse-riding nearby, and 10 golf courses within 15 minutes’ drive.
Dining The bright and spacious buffet restaurant is open for breakfast and evening meal, and the à la carte restaurant serves a variety of local and Mediterranean specialities. Snacks and light dishes are available in the traditional Tapas Bar.
Entertainment Occasional live entertainment in the Music Bar.
Special Features The Thalassotherapy/Spa centre is expensively equipped with the very latest facilities, and includes a fitness centre, indoor dynamic pool, beauty parlour, massage room, sauna, relax room, Turkish bath/Hamman, and jacuzzi. Some of these installations incur a charge. A variety of treatments and programmes is available by arrangement locally. There is a hairdresser and souvenir shop.
