Overview Named after an old fort which is now located in the hotel’s garden, el Fuerte was the first hotel to be built in Marbella. When it opened in 1957 it had 33 rooms and the first lift on the coast! Now, the two inter-linked wings of the hotel provide up-to-date rooms and services, having been regularly modernised and refurbished. What has not changed is the philosophy of attentive, personal service - the El Fuerte has always had a high reputation which is jealously maintained.

Location Overlooking the beach from which it is separated only by the promenade, free of through traffic, and just minutes’ from the Old Town, Orange Square and the main attractions of Marbella.

Relaxation 4000 square metres of mature, sub-tropical gardens with tall palms provide ample space and quiet nooks for sun-bathing and reading. The pool terrace overlooks the beach. A second pool is heated and covered in winter and a pool bar serves refreshments. Right on the beach in front of the hotel is the Beach Club bar, open most of the year (not January). Inside, comfortable lounges and piano bar.
